I saw several older posts in this forum that were complaining about the accuracy of the Pathfinder speedometer. I wonder why Nissan hasn't addressed this. I just bought a 2011 LE, and the speedometer reads 2-3 mph higher than my GPS (I've confirmed my GPS accuracy on several other cars). I haven't brought the car into the dealership yet so maybe there's a fix for this. If not, it's really annoying.

I've checked several cars against GPS and against a stopwatch and measured mile. They've all read 2-3 MPH high at
freeway speeds. Don't worry about it.

Thanks, Chuck, for the quick reply. Turns out the 2-3 mpg difference occurs even going 25 mph. Maybe I just have to accept the fact that I'm driving a truck and not the 350Z that I traded for the Pathfinder!

Yup, my 03 SE does the same thing, I've seen it go up to 4 and maybe even 5 sometimes (only on the highway). Maybe my rear tires need to be replaced.

I have the same issue on my 1999.5 about 2-4 mph difference.

My theory is that the manufacturers do it to make sure you can't sue them if you get a ticket.
