Speedometer freaking out

When I started da car and started driving, I noticed that the speedometer wasnt moving at all. And after awhile it came back to life... Whats wrong wit this thing???

just a shot in the dark here, since i don't know too much about thses cars yet, but it sounds like something electrical, i hear the speed sensor likes to go on some these cars, do you have a check engine light on? run some codes if you do or perhaps the wires somehow are falling off the back of the speedo. someone else can jump in here...

definately sounds electrical.. I'd check there first...
