speedometer dont work nor the lights for the gauge cluster need help.

i bught a 89 240sx.....but now i have a porblem. my speedometer dosent work but so doesent the litte vent looking thing that is supposed to shine something on the windshield. but the rpm gauge works soo confused. ant the lights for the gauge cluster dont work need help. thinks. hope you can help me.

you really, really need to search guy..

that vent is the heads up display or HUD, search that

you'll find that alotta people's HUD just don't work and it has something to do with bad solder and the cold or something, i cant remember because mine is tip top...

i'm not sure if when you lose HUD if you lose the regulat speedo too, but thats entirely possible. you mihgt have to do some math and figure out your speed based on rpm

no as for the lights, either the bulbs are burnt out, not very likely, or the fuse is blown for the combination meter (thats what the cluster is called) check the fuses by the kick panel and you just might find something
