Hey guys, I picked up a white 1992 s13 earlier today, but the speedometer is not functional. (IM A CAR NEWB) I'm not really sure if it's called speedometer, but its the thing that tells you how many mpg's you're going. How do I fix the speedometer so that It will start telling me how fast I'm driving?

I'm pretty sure you mean MPH , Maybe the previous owner damaged or unplugged the speed sensor when pulling the transmission out?. Does the tachometer and other gauges work fine?

I was told by the previous owner, that my car's engine was swapped with a newer KA engine, so thats probably the reason why it doesn't work? Is it possible to reconnect the speed sensor? The tachometer and other gauges all work fine.

Yeah that could be it, I'm pretty sure S-13 and S-14 have different speed sensors. I still think you can reconnect it but I don't know how, try searching around or wait for someone more experienced to come by.
