speedo works only in 5th?!? and other weird problems.. help!

ok.. speedo and gas gauge only work in 5th... also my cluster lights dont work, all kick panel fuses are good... any ideas?

1990 240sx hatch w/ dohc swapreplaced engine harness, its good, under dash wiring also LOOKS factory.5 wires are spliced from ecu to dash like they should be.. with good continuity.

don't think its related, but i want this fixed too, in 5th gear at constant throttle (interstate) the car will often bog down for a second or two.. then act normal for a few seconds, and bog again at reg. intervals.. its aggrivating. Running no o2 sensor atm (replaced the harness and it didnt have a plug on it) could this be the problem?

any clues?

on your passenger side there is a fuse box under the hoodthe first fuse, its grey with a clear top. its a 75 amp fuse.check that, its probably what is causing you not to have your dash lights.as for the rest of the cluster im not sure.maybe try another one and see if it does the same thing

Hey i seen you at the macon mall yesterday...The o2 sensor will def cause that prob..If you wanna bring the car by my house ill try and help figure out some of the probs. I didnt mess with it much when i owned it but im sure i can maybe figure something out, btw im the guy you bought it from.

haha yeah dude i recognized the name and the sig. pic. =)

as far as the O2 sensor goes i'm not too worried, it'll have a wideband in in the next week or two max (innovate that'll imitate a narrowband signal) so i was more just making sure that was the bogging was coming from.

alright dude, i'll letcha know if i get time to do that anytime soon.

Any more input anybody has would be great. thanks
