speedo wont work..any ideas?

so yah my speedo stopped working, i have a 91 240 sx with a sr20det. the speedo had been working for years and now it jumps around when im driving. sometimes i hit a bump and it works, then it goes all the way pegged. i talked to a guy one time and he said it needed a vehicle speed sensor. i tried looking for oem parts..but came up with nothing. any thoughts or ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Yeah speed sensor, wiring between the speed sensor and tach or just the tach its self could be bad/
