Speedo ? searched

I have a 91 coupe w/ a Redtop, b4 the swap it used to be an auto. My question is how do I get the speedo to work? Everything else works. Do I need to get a DE speed sensor and replace the SR sensor, and also someone told me to get a harness? I don't know what harness he's talking about. I searched and did not find the answer to my questions.

Meh this is one of those issues that the members here have decided to leave alone. Why i dunno my speedo hasnt worked in over 3 years. Eventuall i will give some electrical shop gobs of money to get it working again.

That stinks I even went out and bought me a JDM cluster and I can't even use it

if you want the speedo t work on an sr swap you need the ka sensor, s13 sensor for s13, s14 sensor for s14. i still gota get a damn sensor for mine.

Your speedo probably doesn't work if it's auto. You gotta get a manual speedo. Just match up your speedo and your speed sensor, KA or SR, depends what you want. If you have JDM gaugaes have you tried that?

So I just need a manual sensor from a KA or it doesn't matter just as long as its from a S13 KADE?

If you are still using your auto speedo, it prolly won't work with manual. Do you know if you have SR or KA speed sensor in your transmission? If you have the SR sensor then just swap in your JDM cluster and it should work. If you have KA sensor and your KA auto speedo doesn't work, then just get the speedo gauge from a manual KA24DE and that should work. If neither solution works then you might have a wiring issue in the harness.
