Speedo Help!

Ok, Just got my sohc to dohc swap finished but the speedo doesn’t work all the time, after a while of driving, like and hour or so, it will start working, i have tried different speed sensors, different gauges in the cluster, different clusters w/ different gauges, im stuck, i have no clue whats going on with it. please help

also the mile metter works, so i guess that tells me the speed sensor works

If the odo works but the speedo does not that tells me its your speedo head plain and simple. The odo operates off the same signal at the back of the cluster. I find it hard to believe that changing the cluster did nothing, unless you had different results with different clusters.

could it be the ground? I think im going to run another ground wire into it and see what happens, its crazy it was hot today and it worked right away. I hate this!

It is definitly a connection issue, possibly a ground like your thinking.
