Speedo Fixed S15 Blacktop with 6 speed transmission

Well finally got the speedo to work.

Story-95 240sx , S15 Black Top with a 6 speed transmission. No VSS pick up because the S15 is in the rear diff.

A few months ago I picked up a j30 dif with abs sensor. Put it in the car and wired it to the speedo lead in the factory harness. Whoa! it worked but it was 4 times as fast. So from doing some research before I installed it I knew this would happen. I bought a Dakota Digital SGI-5 converter. Wired this up up and "viola"@! Adjusted it afew times and got to read about dead on. My sons took the wifes Altima and matched speeds to check (the only car in the family with stock wheels).

why try and match the speed of another car when you can use the reading of a gps?

Now that my friend is probably the smartest thing I heard all day.

Only problem we had thieves break into 3 of our cars on May 2 ( my birthday) and steal the 2 navi's we had. Insurance company wants proof of purchase and will only cover the 2 navi's. Will not cover the 2 ipod's, kids school books, janz back back, computer bag.

Homeowners has a $1000 deductible and too much of a hassle to go thru.

ok thats a good reason not to use gps. Wow that sucks, especially on you r birthday. Thats a huge headache. I just got done dealing with the insurance company for nearly on auto insurance stuff. I'm sure this is even more of a headache

I've got a J30 diff that I need to get a speedo signal off of...which wiring "application" did you use for the dakota digital?
