speedo/cluster question

My speedometer(HUD) stopped working a while ago there is two black marks on the right side. I have three clusters each with different problems, all have the black marks on them and the speedo don't work on any. Is this something that all clusters have when they are made or is it why it dont work. Thanks 4 ur help. heres a pic of the marks

Mine has that as well, but like yours mine does not work either....

I'm trying to find a working used one because since my unit is totally dead it is causing a few other problems...

That is normal for a vaccum display to have those marks. check for a bad soilder joint on the back where the harness plugs into it.
