Well for the life of me, I can't get the tach and speedo working. I have search through here and the other forums already, I went to the Heavy Throttle site and I can't figure out what is wrong. When I originally looked at the tach and speedo wires coming out of the ECU, the yellow/red and yellow/green wires respectively, the solders going to the other harness looked like ***, so my dad resoldered them, covered them with heatshrink, and taped them up. I figured that would solve my tach and speedo issues but no to avail. I took out the guages and looked on the back at the connection and all looked good, so I don't know what is the issue now. If anyone has any insight please let me know, Thanks in advance, pgt892.

I didn't have the car before the SR so I don't know.

were you doing an SR wiring? If so, you need to change your speed sensor. About the tach, you might have wire it wrong.

Or you could have fried the unit by soldering incorrectly: making contact with the iron/wire too long. Ive fried plenty of stuff that way...

Well I didn't do the soldering my dad did, and he is an electrican so I don't think that is the problem.

Well I went out and checked the F3 Plug and it looks like a mess. So I will have to tear it down and see what wires are connected and if they are connected right. I am half tempted to just order an already completed harness so I don't keep finding wiring issues.

Ok well I inspected the F3 plug and everything is connected correctly. If the vehicle speed sensor was not hooked up properly, would the tach and speedo not function at all or just the speedo. Also, how does the yellow/green wire that comes from the instrument cluster connect to the vehicle speed sensor? Thanks in advance.
