i just noticed that my speedo and tach do not do their rotate test when i start my car now. Is this a typical problem and is there a simple solution for this? Or should i take it to the dealer and have them check. The car only has 38k on it now and its an 06.

sounds like you turned off the "excitement" feature. my car is in the shop so i cant really help but if you go to the dealer, they will turn it on for you.

You can control that yourself. The button on the dash that controls the illumination of the rings around the gauges controls it. Just lower left of the tach.

To turn the ring illumination and needlesweep on and off, push the control knoband hold it for 1 second.
