all the talk in the other thread has me wondering about the speedo. if i am using the rb25 electric VSS, and sending the signal to my s14 KA cluster, will the speed reading be accurate?

i dont really see why it wouldn't, since i imagine the VSS being a hall effect type sensor which measures revolutions of the output shaft. is all of the translating to mph or kmh done by the cluster itself?

100% correct

hall effect, signal is interpreted by the cluster itself.

That's funny because I swapped my KA speed sensor into the RB25 transmission and my speedo is WAY off. It reads 20mph when I'm doing about 60mph.

Mine reads 5 under with the stock Rb25 speedo on the KA gauge. Checked with a GPS and a speed trap.

My '04 Frontier will cruise along at 80mph and my RB26 swapped S14 (with the RB25 transmission) reads about 79ish. Perfect if you ask me.......

Which gear did you use on the speed sensor?

On the RB25 I swap the KA gear onto the RB25 sensor to get it CLOSE to accurate....

I used the stock RB25 speed sensor that came in the transmission, in junction with the stock S14 speedometer.
