well, nitrous oxide does work well with high compression for a few reasons. a major reason is it is a much cooler intake charge which is better for the high compression motor to compress. a normal high comp motor usually has to worry about knock or running higher octanes to accomodate the tendency to detonate. with nitrous youre going to be adding extra fuel which is good, and a cooler intake charge which is good. however, like all thermal devices the increased power produced will also output more heat, which is always the enemy of efficiency....
and i guess, "blowing the welds on the intake manifold."
and i guess without flycutting your pistons, you have 89 style pistons, so compression is around 11.2-.3 without any larger headgasket or extra work. jsut to clairfy.
the only reason i said anything is because thats what i wanted to be doing by next summer. high compression will be done in the winter, but i wanted to have a 75 shot. i too am curious to see how you're holding up and what you think of a slightly bigger shot
