I did a mt swap on my 93 vert. The transmission came out of either a 89 or a 90.The speed sensor that i have from my at doesnt fit. Is the speed sensor different from the Mt and At or is different form the sohc from dohc. If anyone know the answer it would be of great help. Thank You.

The sensors are different from the 89-90 to the 91-94.

And the MT/AT are different as well. You need a 91-94 MT sensor.

He needs 89-90 MT VSS(vehicle speed sensor). 89-90 and 91-94 VSSs have slightly different teeth on the gears. They have different part numbers. It'll still work, but you don't want to mess up the gear inside of the transmission.

But thought the signal would be different to the cluster from SOHC to DOHC.

As far as I know, signal is same between sohc and dohc. It's different between s13 and s14.
