My car is a 90 240sx hatchback. When I bought the car, it had a ka24de swapped into it. The cruice control and speedometer were both fully functional. I drove the car like that for about 3 months, and then swapped in a redtop sr20det. I follower heavy throttles guide for wiring issues. The car runs fine, and the speedometer is fully functional. But, ever since the swap, cruise control doesnt work. I got some diagnostic trees off of all data pro and went through the procedures. I tested for everything including the vacuum motor, actuator, set coast/resume/and cancel buttons, the brake and clutch switch, and they all turn out fine. When I test the speed sensor alone, it does produce an ac voltage of .5 twice when rotated one full turn slowly. But, this voltage never reaches the ascd control module like it should with the sensor plugged in. I am wondering if somewhere within the main engine harness there is wiring for the cruise circuit that has been removed due to the swapping in of the sr20 engine harness. Where should I be looking for problems where this signal might still be reaching the speedometer, but not the cruise control module? I have noted that on the transmission harness, which is the harness from the ka24de my car came with, the wire colors for the speed sensor are yellow with a blue tracer, and also yellow with a black tracer. On the plugs from the ka24de engine harness that i spliced onto the sr20 harnes near the fuse box and battery tray, there is now an unconnected yellow with blue tracer wire. Is this related? Please help! Thank you
