Can anyone post a picture of the speed sensor I need for a 96 G50. I need the one which is near the transmission. Also if someone has a functional one laying around shoot me an email. Thanks!

Are you talking about the power steering speed sensor? Because I've been looking for months for one of those. So annoying to replace a pump AND rack and only have power steering at highway speeds.

No. When the speed sensor goes bad. Your power steering, and speedo stop working. It's located near the back of your transmission. Atleast thats what I've been reading

After months of reduced power steering, I finally caught my speedo not working for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Made sure to see it happen again a couple more times before I finally figured out that the VSS is the problem in mine too. Weird part about it is that in many other posts, people with a faulty VSS report that their odo stopped and stayed dead for the rest of the drive, whereas in mine it cuts out for up to 30 seconds at a time and comes back on. I'm just going to replace the part with a Beck Arnley BA0905025, sells for 150 - 240USD depending on where you get it.

My symptoms still persist despite changing my VSS. My tach needle also bounces under heavy acceleration. NICO gurus think it may be me speedo cluster. I hope this is helpful.

TY for the info, tach appears to be smooth in mine. I may just bite the bullet and do the voltmeter test in the FSM to make sure VSS is my problem.
