Hey guys, I had someone check out my 1995 2+0 NA auto because my car would not go pass 15mph. And feels like theres no power going to the wheels. I diagnosed the ecu and it was the first code, Revolution sensor disconnected or shortened.

I purchased a brand new sensor and had it installed and the car still does not want to go. Any thoughts or inputs??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Test fuel pressure, vac leaks, corrosion at connectors, various stuff like that.

Another issue to look into is make sure the TPS connector is put on correctly, I had an issue before I converted to manual, did kind of the same thing. Also make sure the car is starting off in first and not third.

Check the connectors and continuity to the ECU.

What do you mean by continuity to the ecu? And how would I go abouts doing that? Sorry, total noob here :/

Also, I am not at home and wife says car still does not run. I believe I left the ecu/tcm in diagnostic mode. Would that be a factor?

http://z32.wikispaces.com/file/view/ECCS_colored_m.gif I would first check for corrosion or other junk on the CAS connector. Then you would have to unplug the harness from the back of the ECU and use a multimeter to check the continuity between the pin specified there and the CAS connector at the engine. I'm not sure what happens if you leave it in diagnostics mode. My guess is it should still run.

Thanks for the info I really appreciate it.

Got to my car today and when I first started it up, there was a whining noise, not too sure where it was coming from but it drove fairly normal, once I let off the gas it wouldn't accelerate as much and eventually went back to the same problem I was having.

I would turn it off and let it sit for awhile and when I start it back up, it would go and eventually die out. I did this about 3 times driving it through the back roads all the way home from the shop. About 2miles.

Any thoughts or suggestions???

When I say die out, I mean it does not accelerate any more, speedo seems to be working fine. So pretty much once the car gets warmed up it doesn't wanna accelerate
