speed sensor removal help pls

so it looks like i have to take my damn exhaust apart just to get at the speed sensor.. for real? is there a trick to getting it out? it almost comes out and then hits my exhaust...

Instead of taking it apart, have you tried undoing the hangers on the one side? Maybe you can get enough flex out of the piping to move it just enough. Just a thought.

hey, that's actually not a bad idea and would be a lot easier than trying to remove exhaust nuts. i'll give it a try after work and see, thanks for the idea

Not a problem, I could only imagine how "welded on" the nuts may be, but I guess since you just pulled the car out of the garage you really don't drive it in the snow. Im just glad i don't have to deal with the whole salting of the roads, that just has to be hell on the undercarriage.

Did that do the trick. I have to do that to my sons 300z. Quit working and the shop said they would have to drop the transmission to get it out. They also want to fix the main seal at the same time. Like 750$ tho ouch.

yup! once i got the exhaust kinda outta the way it was easy peezy, no transmission drop required
