Need to get a 89 hatch with a ca18det to pass inspection, kmh speedometer wont cut it. I don't have the original speed sensor.

Are all 89-94 ka speed sensors the same? Which ones will work properly with the US speedometer?

Another option would be to overlay the mph speedo readout over the kmh one and swap speedo pinions on the ca18det sensor. Anyone know how many teeth I would need? courtesy parts sells several different speedo pinions.

I tried searching, but all I found was someone asking a simular question and they got told to use the search! lol I'm thinking searching the archives doesn't work so well. Either that or any threads relating to speed sensors doesnt have the words "speed sensor" in them.

Thanks!

I'm right off Lakeline Blvd. Don't know Jickel. Only had the house about 9 months.

just take the US speedo out of the cluster, and swap it into your CA cluster. easy.
