I finished up wiring an rb20 in my s13 by using the rb lower harness ( I bought the car without a motor so no harness) my problem is I could not figure out how to plug the KA speed sensor on the RB lower wiring harness. and i searched all the 240sx forums I know but no answer.

The rb speed sensor uses a cable = will not plug in...

So, there would not be any PLUG for that speed sensor....

You will need to find the wires from under the dash, and splice into them with the speed sensor wires is what I am thinking..

I got a Ka sensor and tried to hook it up directly to the dash wiring but it did not work.

i was wondering this to. Its sensor thats in the transmission.... cant those wires be spliced and put together?

I was thinking about using the RB sensor and splicing the harness to put the wires together since the plugs dont fit.

splice the VSS wires into the existing VSS wires that go to the tach. done unless this is an S13 cluster.

So Directly back into the tach... and not through the harness under the car?

The VSS wire to ecu has to be hooked up,and the wires for the speedo hook up to the fuse block under the hood.

The VSS wire does not connect to the ECU. I think you meant tach wire which runs from the ECU to the gauge cluster. The VSS wire goes to the gauge cluster and another wire runs from the cluster to the ECU. Cut that wire and you have eliminated your speed limiter.

I hooked my neutral position sensor and reverse lights up through the center console and to the ECU etc. Both can be achieved through the fuse block though.

I apologize for the mis info Darius is right, but "most" everything goes from the lower harness to the fuse block under the hood, you can make it work and be clean either way.
