Speed Sensor Pinion Questons

My question is, Can I get a manual speed sensor pinion and put it on my Auto Speed sensor and use that combination for my 5 speed swap in my 1992 S13 Convertible? I would like to retain the original speed sensor seeing that it was made for my car and it only has 80k miles on it.

ha ha Ill take that as a no. I have searched and searched and gotten mixed results of "s13 M/T and A/T speed sensors are the same/different" and "its i just the pinon gear that is different". I wont be near my car till May, so I am trying to do as much research before swapping in a manual transmission as I can.
