Speed sensor issue, help please

hey basically have a stupid problem. i have a 98 240 with an s13 sr20det blacktop. i bought the car with the motor in it and the speedometer wasnt working so i always figured it was the sr speedsensor that didnt work so i got the usdm speedsensor for the s14 and when i went to install it the wire that plugs into the speedsensor had the whole plastic clip missing, it was just kinda cut off. so what can i do, do i need to replace that whole lower harness?? or can i just get that plastic clip somehow and put it on the wire?? idonno any suggestions please i would really apreciate it.

So is the sensor broken or the harness connector broken? If you can get the wires securely on the pins then it should work but may not stay in place.

Ive got an S14 SR speed sensor you can buy if you need one. Its the same as the US one. Im in Alexandria.

its the harness connector thats broken. thats kool, did you go to tc williams? what do you drive??

You'll have to either hard wire the speed sensor in, or find the proper mating plug and fixing the harness.

That is a hard plug to find. Let me know if you need help finding it, the guy I sold my 240SX too may still have an extra JDM S14 subharness with that connector. I moved to DC from the west coast 3 years ago. Now I have a couple Infiniti's but im always looking for a good project

haha nice , i dont why you could come here from the west coast. you must have taken the wrong plane lol . You need to pick up another 240!

is the jdm subharness the same as the usdm one? i guess the speedsensor plug doesnt change but does anything else change??? and yea please ask him i would really apreciate it.
