How is the CA18DET's limiter set up? Is it purely speed based or does it go by RPM? Aside from an EPROM flash, is there a way around it?

Speed based (180km/h), and then there is a fuel cut rev limiter at 7800 or 8000 or something that is unrelated to the speed cut.

It's 8000 on the rev limiter, tested it today :P

My speedo is also a good bit off, because when I hit fuel cut for the speed limiter, my needle is at about 120mph. 180Km/h is 112mph, so it's off by ~8mph =[

now, on to a way to overcome it... would I just cut the wire going to the ECU for the speed signal? Would this cause any not-so-desireable effects?

Don't really know man, I never had to do it. I would guess there is always the chance your speedo won't work. That's a reasonable assumption isn't it?

No, not really. It's a horrible assumption! I have a cable speedo (with the speed sensor thing for the ECU in the cluster)...

I think I'll find and snip that wire and try Hell, I already had to rewire my entire ECU anyway.
