speed limiter

ive alreadey established that my 97 240sx dosent have a speed limiter, my freind has a 97 too and his is limited to 112 mph , why doesnt mine have a limiter, is it a freak thing or common?

It should be limited at 120 mph.

The speedo might register 120 for a little while before you hit the speed cut... keep going and it should cut on you. If your going pass the 120 mark and can bury the needle between the "P" and "H" in "MPH" you've officially ran outta speedo.

mine goes past the 120 mark and gets stuck on the odometer reset button im guessing about 130-135mph, i was just wondering why mine doesnt have a speed limiter is it becuasre its an auto?
