speed limiter

ok so i just read the faq section and it said that to remove my speed limiter on my 90 240 which is a california car, all i have to do is snip one of the wires to the ecu, or i can run a switch between the gauge cluster and the ecu. i personally like the first option better, but is it really that easy? thanks for your help

my friend has a toggle switch on the speed sensor running from the ecu

at like 180KM/H he turns off the speed sensor... now mind you the speedo doesnt work when the speed sensor is disconnected so you wont know how fast ur going
