Speed limiter on my 1984 Z31

I no of coarse all cars mainly have speed limiters and cables that keep us going the maximum speed in our cars and i dont no the difference there is between the z31 and z32 wiring so i wanted to ask. thanks

you might try phrasing your questions a bit more disect, are you asking if there si a speed limiter on the Z31? I beleive the turbo Z31 has a speed limiter in the ECU of 145mph? (I'm sure AZ-Zbum will correct me here) and I believe the N/A's did nto have the speed limiter, they just lack the power and gearing to go any faster than that

most street cars run out of revs and gearing somewhere around that ballpark, unless you trying to set a record at bonniville or at the drag strip in which case you'd have other provisions, it shouldn't be a problem

I wish people would proofread before clicking the "POST" button. I spent way too long trying to figure out what was really being asked. Had it been any longer, I probably just would have ignored it. The Z31 turbos have an electronic speed limiter set at 137mph.The Z31 NAs are only speed limited by drag.

There are tons of differences in the Z31 and Z32 wiring. The engines and cars are completely different.

There is a rev limiter however on both turbo and non...I got my 84' up to about 130 and she was not going to give much more...but fun getting there and darn stable at that speed.
