First i'd like to say welcome as this is my first post. I just bought a 89 240sx sohc ka24e(?) today and coming from 3 years of a DSM background I know nothing about 240's. While driving on the highway when doing a decent speed (don't know the exact speed, half of the gauge cluster doesn't work but i'd say around 80-85mph) the car will feel like it bogs down a bit then when I press the gas I get nothing. If I hit the breaks to slow a bit then give it gas again it will go. This happened to me twice today cruising on the highway and once going up a hill in 3rd at around 4k rpms.

Speed is goverened by the ECU at 112mph. Your issue sounds like its bogging down. Check your coolant temp sensor, as this will cause you to run rich. Also, check the condition of your distributor cap and rotor, as well as the plugs and wires.
