The speed limiter is in the ecu. You have to get it retuned to remove it or HKS made a speed limiter remover also.

You need a $5,000 transmission with no governor.

Ask the professional 240sx mechanic.

Here you go.zer...age=1

Apparently, you must unplug the 2 speed sensors from your transmission and cut the wire that send info from the speedo to your ecu.

Google "HKS Speed Limit Defencer" and don't kill anyone with your new found upper speed limit.

Well then maybe you should be a bit more specific as to what you are looking for. Your question was "Speed gov.?????" from that we gathered that you are looking for a way to eliminate the speed governor and gave you solutions for it. If you want something else be more specific.

^^^Fo realz. I think he wants someone to hold his hand with a detailed, illustrated, write up. If he can't find his answer in the link I provided, he just might need to sell his 240.

I mean, it's just 3 steps: Unplug this sensor. Unplug that sensor. Cut this wire. Voila. You're done.

lol.. well it doesn't get any simpler than a plug in module like the HKS or Greddy.

Your link to that write up is really good. Somehow I think he has some other question that he has completely forgotten to ask

actually it does. you can use an ecu out of an atuo for the ka. jsut make sure you use an sohc auto ecu for an sohc car and dohc auto ecu for dohc car

Well it could be argued that what you're saying is equally simple WC, but I do see your point.
