I recently purchased a 2002 PF LE. According to the owners manual that came with the vehicle, there is supposed to be an audio setting (ON/OFF) for something called an SCV (speed controlled volume). When I toggle through the appropriate choices (bass, treble, fader, balance) the SCV setting does not show up as a choice.

Does anyone have this feature on their PF? Does anyone know why I don't have this feature (i.e. bad fuse, connection unplugged, etc.)?

My vehicle has every option I thought was ever available.

Thanks, in advance

My last car had it, and to tell you the truth it was kinda annoying. That said, I can't see it mentioned anywhere in my '03 manual nor the '02 manual.

My '06 Altima has that feature (it's called SSV on this one...Speed Sensitive volume), and I like it. It has four settings: Off, low, medium and high.My '02 Pathy doesn't have it, and I've never heard of it being an option in that year either.Cheers.

Thanks for all your replies.

I guess I won't think about it any further, even though my manual does specifically state that it is a feature.

Decided to get my owners manual out and read through the stereo section myself. On Page 4-21, behold, there is one reference to SCV. Surprise surprise. The acronym is listed in the header only. When you read the actual description and instructions below the header, there is no mention of it.I didn't see any other SCV reference in the manual. It's not listed in the index either.I suspect the header is a misprint. My stereo certainly doesn't have it. Would be nice though.

Thanks again for the interest.

I'll scan my owners manual and post the instructions/reference tomorrow.
