i have an opportunity to buy some 2005 sentra se-r specV wheels for my 240. you know, the ones that look almost like the 350z ones. does anyone happen to know the exact specs of those wheels, like width and offset? also, is there anyone with those wheels with pictures or photoshops with them on an s13? thanks.

i searched a lot before posting this. hope i didnt miss something..

i posted this in the wheels/tires forum, but theres not too much traffic there, so i hope i can get some info here.

Sentra wheels have terrible offsets for our cars, they will be sunken pretty badly..,

those aren't the wheels he is referring to; those are the first gen spec v rims. he's talking about the 2nd gen spec v rims when the spec v got the brembo brakes. and yes they will be sunken in but nothing that spacers can't fix..............iirc, offest is +44mm and the rim itself is 17x7..................

Ok, I'll post this on another commercial break.Didn't realize he said second gen wheels..Anyways, the offsets suck on both wheels. If they are from a front wheel drive car, 99% of the time the offsets suck and will look terrible. Unless you personally like the look. What sucks is our cars are kind of in between front and rear wheel drive offsets.. That's my observation, not fact. I'm sure someone else will pop in saying I'm full of **** again...

those are the second gen spec v rims. as for the lowering, it really depends on the suspension setup whether or not the rims will fit. i lowered mine on the first gen spec v rims 2.2 inches in the front and 1.2 inches in the rear with no rubbing issues at all.................

Here's the real size of both wheels. 2002-03 SpecV wheels are 17'' x 7'' with a +47 offset2004-06 SpecV wheels are 17'' x 7'' with +45 offsetNot the best choice for a rwd and not wide enough. Besides, they broke easily.

first of all how much are you buying them for? 2nd why would you even want 7 inch wide wheels? those are skinny, id say go atleast an 8.5 all the way around or even better 9.5! look for some deep lip technology im sure you can get something better for your money.

@chris - awesome, i want to do the foglight thing behind them and theyre really hard to find nowadays

@hiphop - id only be paying like 100, which isnt bad at all for better-than-stock looking wheels. baller wheels are a little bit out of my price range. and deep lips are a little played out anyways.

$100! I'd buy them and throw some 10-15mm spacers on there for an okay offset. I've never really wanted deep dish wheels either.

because a 7 inch wide wheel is better than a stock 6 inch wide wheel. ? where is your logic. not everyone can afford baller *** wheels with perfect offsets, most of us make with what we have

bro i paid 300 for mine with tires in perfect condition. if you like the wheels do your thing. just get some spacers to solve the offset issue and your good

why would you spend $300 with wheels and tires for a 7 inch wide wheel? you can get 16x8's for that in better offsets.

you didnt "own" anybody by stating your preference to buy marginally wider wheels with cash that could have been spent elsewhere better. you'd probably see more of a performance benefit from better tires on your stock wheels.

dont attack his preference for nice wheels when the reason you defend your taste boils down to the same thing..

If you can get them for cheap, use them as temp wheels.

sorry d!ck but i may have to disagree, granted function over form is usually the guideline to go by, this is not always the case if you find a good looking rim. i personally am all for a nice wide rim with a low offset but different strokes for different folks. i can only defend myself for going for these rims since there was no sportmax company in existence when i decided to run these rims. considering the fact that more options have opened up, i could see where he could go with a wider rim with a low offset. unfortunately, it still boils down to whether or not he thinks the rim is attractive because lets face it, even if i could get an ugly rim with the perfect width, offset, and price, if the rim is ugly.................the rim is ugly. and i personally don't care how well the fitment of a rim is because if doesn't look good on the car, then it will just ruin the car's looks in his eyes....................just my 2 cents.

cool, i never said you were wrong. i said that whether you prefer form OR function, there are better wheels out there than the se-r wheels. I would only use them if they were free and something was wrong with my stock wheels.
