Spec V SER motor in a Versa?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I have a 2007 Versa with the same 1.8 engine as the 2007 Sentra. I don't want to build an engine that produces appx 100hp lol. So I was wondering if I could put a spec v SER motor in here. Same as the 1.8 engines except a little bigger, right? Should bolt right up?

I posted this on the Versa forum, but they are all boring lol. "Why you wanna change the engine? What about gas mileage? You don't want your warranty?" Lol. Help me out guys!!!!

Same trans numbers. The 2.0 Sentra has the same engine numbers and letters, but the spec v SER motor is different. Could that hurt me any?

There are two models of QR25's for Spec V's. The one from B16 2007+ Sentras will not even fit in our B15's without major modification, because practically everything was changed. If you were to attempt a QR swap you'd probably have an easier time with the first gen engines from 2002-2006. Then again, if the Versa engine bay is as small as I remember it being, you'd have an easier time stuffing a bear into a marshmallow...

Honestly, The QRs are decent engines, but not worth the headache you'll get. I would turbocharge the QG if you really want the power, I've seen more than a few that surprised me haha.
