ever since the sentra spec Vs have come out i have thought how perfect those rims would look on a 240. I was wondering if anyone has done it yet. They would really look great in gunmetal or black. If anyone knows of this done i would love to see pics of my dream. Thanx

its been done before. They are the same bolt pattern of 4x114. the only problem is that they come in a fwd offset of like 43 so they might look a bit sunkin in the wheel well. You might need spacers to make them look right. This is assuming you have a 4 lug.

i thought the 240 ran a 42 offset. if this is so then they would fit about right.

Lost has them on his car, he said the offset was 47 and that they fit fine, but his car wasn't lowered, so he couldn't comment on coilovers. They fit though.

Why do the spec Vs not have lug locks on their wheels? Maybe I just didn't notice them, but my mom has them on her sentra SE, then the few spec's I've seen don't have them...

Also I'm retarded, do the Spec Vs have multi-link rear suspension? Cause my mom's has that gay straight-axle design (is that the proper name?). Anyway, I couldn't see the Spec Vs with the same thing when they are supposed to be "performance" models.

Oh yeah, sorry to jack the thread.

Lug locks can be put on any car. Depends on the dealer on whether or not they came with them. Mine don't have them, but I could have gotten them.

That "straight axle" design you talk of, *IS* the multi-link. It's the Nissan "multi-link beam suspension." All B14 and B15 sentras have that, regardless of trim level.

The Spec V still has a superior suspension though, due to its increased spring rate, bigger sway bars, and strut tower brace.

How come it looks like my old 94 Sentra suspension then? I mean, to compare it just looks different than the multi-link on a Honda...

Thanks for clearing that up though, cause my mom's car drives really nice, I was suprised with how firm the suspension was for a Sentra (and an SE at that).

What year is your mom's car? If you have a 94 Sentra, it has independent rear suspension, not the multilink beam suspension.

multi link is a genaric term

referrs to most suspensions other than macpherson struts and leaf spring live axle suspensions(think pick up truck with this one).

nissan, toyota, ford, and GM all call their beam axle suspensions in their FWD cars a "multi-link" setup. it sounds better than just calling it a beam suspension setup.

ford calls the straight axle suspension (aka the 8.8 inch ford) on the rustang a "multi link" setup even though its just a straight axle with trailing arms and coils

Yes... there are MANY variations of the multi-link term.

This also holds true for "Independant Rear Suspension" (IRS) on many of our cars and "Independant Front Suspension" (IFS) on many trucks. Toyota has had three different virations of the IFS setup on their 4X4's. The early pickups had torsion spring Upper A-arm/lower control arm IFS. Then they swtched to torsion spring Upper control arm/lower A-arm IFS. Now they use a coil spring Lower control arm for the Tacoma. Ford 4X4's have used two different forms of IFS. The first was a "twin traction beam" (TTB) coil spring IFS. Now they use the torsion spring lower control arm IFS.

Either way... if it's independant... it sucks on a 4X4 truck... period. Solid axle all the way!! ON cars it's a wholedifferent story... multi-links are lame and lack the stability (usually)... and IRS/IFS is the way to go. Usually the shorter the arms the better... Fords "long-arm" IRS (newer Escorts, Taurus, Contour, etc) is a pathetic setup. The old Escort GT suspensions rocked.... the ZX2 just plain blows.

Ok, thanks guys I got it.

I owned a 94 Sentra, my mom owns a 2001 Sentra SE.

So the multi-link isn't like a double wishbone, that's what I guess I was getting at (and already thought I knew). So Sentras don't have the independant rear...I thought they would at least stick it on the SE-R.

Well, 91-94 Sentras have IRS. 95 and newer don't.

I have the Spec V wheels they fit just fine. They make great street wheels. However they are a little narrow for track use.

Um....they aren't limited edition. You can buy them, but they are like $300-$400/wheel. I've known plenty of people personally to have them. I just can't afford them.

No, it's not limited. I've never actually seen white in person, only gold.

I really like the Spec V wheels! They look awesome on my silver Spec V.I thought about putting them on my 2k2 Altima to see what they look like. The tires are much lower profile on the Spec V than the Altima.I was looking into some aftermarket wheels for the Altima but will most likely just get some tires with a smaller side wall when these wear out.Spec V wheels are hard to come by though. If you buy them from the factory they will rape you for about $400 LOL.
