Spec V Rear Caliper Not Compressing

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I've tried changing the rear pads on my 04 Spec V and can't get the caliper piston to compress. I turned the piston in a CW rotation and it just continues to spin instead of compress. Any ideas?

You have to continue to turn it until compresses all the way in. Now if its just turning around and around, then its time for a new caliper.

Also, a traditional pad compressor from Sears, $10, along with some channel locks will help you break it free to compress. If once you break it free and continue to turn the piston CW it still wont descend, then follow RED's second option.
