What are your upgrades that you currently have installed? Older V6 mustangs and some early 90's gt mustangs might be in your grasp though if you can launch your car decent and its fully bolted.

If your looking for turbo I suggest a PTI kit from http://www.powertechimports.com , they have a kit, all bolt-on, that you can install and run about 250-275hp and 260-280pft at around 7-8psi.

Once your turbo then you can probably play with some of the big boys.

PTI is definitely a good choice for turbo kits.

By ECU do you mean the TS reflash? Or do you mean correction via a piggyback like an SAFCII?

Ford Mustang GT - 300hp, 3450lbs = 11.5lb/hpYour Spec - 190hp, 2800lbs = 14.74lb/hp

To match a GT, you'd need about 245hp at the crank. This obviously doesn't take into account powertrain losses, and your torque numbers would have to be great too (GT has 320lb/ft), but that's a rough estimate.

A PTI kit could net you that and more. You don't want lots of turbo lag, that'll make it not much fun (though I'm a small turbo whore), and you can't put a lot of boost into the QR before you start bending things, but it seems like I've seen 250hp QRs with stock rods/pistons/bottom ends.

The audio stuff just slows you down, btw.

Swaps are tough, there's a few SR20DET swaps and one or two VQ35DE swaps. It's probably easier to go QR25DE+T.

Actually PTI is not producing their turbo kits any more. They may have some left over though so you may still be able to score one if you ordered it quickly.

And the PTI kit is pretty nice (install not quite as nice). It is what I have on my Spec and I like it.

As for getting pictures on the site you can upload pics to the NICO gallery and link from there.

Good call, I'd forgotten about that.

There are a few other kits out there I think, but PTI seemed to have the best.

yeah. i call bs on the 2k turbo kit without intercooler.

the only way they could pull that off is if it's a really low boost kit that uses completely stock fuel system (stock injectors/stock pump), stock midpipe exhaust, downpipe that just goes down to the balljoint in the exhaust. non-ballbearing t3/t04 or equivalent turbo.

but yeah, pix would be cool
