the inside diameter of the new one is the same. On the original bearing the whole face turns but on the new one only the slightly darker circle turns. My honda TO bearing looked like the one from the spec kit.

That's how my throw out bearing that came with my ACT street strip clutch look like also. Exact same thing. But then I'm having a problem with it right now too so I have to redo it this tuesday when I get everything back out. Having a weird noise coming from transmission so hoping the throw out bearing is the culprit.

Have you tried test fitting the SPEC throwout bear on the holder yet? I suppose if it fits and lines up correctly on the pressure plate, you shouldn't have a problem. But then again, I would recommend installing a new OEM SR20DET throwout bearing. I believe the SR20DET release bearing is the same as the KA24DE, but you would have to check up on that. Good luck.

the face of the first one is all one peice and turns on the bearing. The inside diameter is the same so i should have it all pressed togather today. I'll try to remember to post the results in this thread once the swap is finished

just installed my spec stage 3 today with no problems. just press out the center of the old throw out bearing and press it into the new one. works fine, just looks wierd b/c of the nice metal bearing versus the old ugly rubber bearing.

OK really old post but i figured anyone searching on the issue would like the pics and everything. The deal is that it works fine. Or has been for more than 3 months.
