I get a lot of mixed answers when I do the search but I got a good offer for a Spec Stage 3 6 puck clutch and was wondering if Im running 7-10 lbs of boost daily would it be bad to get it? Some people say it will be fine and others say it could it ruin my drivetrain. Any ideas? Do you even think its harder to drive? Thanks.

I wouldnt recommend using one. If your on a budget, look towards ACT.

I have a spec stageII. I have 3 other friends with spec clutches - we all love them. I have driven my friends SR with a stage III. THe pedal isn't too stiff for daily driving. I kinda wish I would have gone with the stage III. And it won't hurt your drivetrain. But for 7-10 lbs there is no need for a stage III

Why would you put a stageIV in a daily driver?

I like my stage 3. It's really not harsh at all once you get used to it. If you know how to drive you aren't going to ruin anything. I am only worried about how long it will last. I've heard of 6-pucks going out at like 5,000 miles, and when they go they don't slip, they just go.

I had a stage 3 in mine... I didnt like the petal pressure/engagement. But it is important to note that i was having transmission problems at the time. I then went to a Spec II which i love. I havent heard anything other than SPEC > ACT.

Anyone wanna buy spec III disk/pressure plate?

I do a ton of city and highway driving. Like I said it's not bad at all for around town if you know how to drive. I don't see why everyone complains about how harsh the engagement is, I don't even notice anymore.

ACT on a budget???? ARE u serious, ACT clutches cost MORE than STAR clutches especially for the SR. They are of much better quality, so are you sayin they're cheap?
