Just got my s14 DET and im changing the clutch. I bought the s-13, s-14 spec stage two kit. How do i change the throw out bearing? THe one in the kit is bigger in inside and outside diameter. The original bearing seems to be pressed onto the throw out bearing "housing" or whatever its called (the thing with the metal clip that secures it to the fork). How exactly do i go about changing this or should i just leave the original in there? Or do i need a new housing or something? Thanks alot!!!

I just got my stage 2 in and I'm gonna go to AutoZone and get one of their tools off the loan-a-tool program and press it out like that. As far as putting the new one on, I've read where you can use a hammer and a block of wood and tap it in. Mine is different from the OEM one too but from what I've read and seen most of the aftermarket ones are.

I got it done with help from enjuku racing. You can use a socket that fits cast part perfectly and a vice to rest the bearing outside race on and just tap it out. Just tap the new one on. Pretty easy i just didnt wanna f something up. Thanks.

I used a puller to get my old one off and it F'ed the old bearing up. I was told the new bearing would not fit on the housing. I threw the housing in my deep freezer over night. The next day I heated up the new bearing, slipped it on the bearing housing, let it sit for an hour and presto! The bearing housing got smaller when frozen, the bearing got bigger when heated and now they are not gonna come apart for nothing.
