I just received a stage 1 clutch and flywheel from spec already pre assembled but I didn't see a throwout bearing? I have a 2008 2.5 does the spec kit not have a throwout bearing or do I need a slave cylinder? I am going to get my clutch replaced on monday so if I need any other parts I need them before then. I really need to get my car back on the road so if anyone could please help regarding what i need to replace when replacing the clutch I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Well I spoke with someone from spec and they do not include a throwout bearing for the altima but no one else does either. I found one on NAPA but I'm not really sure if its the part I need so I just went with a new slave cylinder. So if anyone is going to replace your clutch you need to replace the whole slave cylinder if you want to change the throwout bearing or whatever Nissan calls it.

Dude.. what's the price for a throw out bearing?...$10 bucks? Don't be cheap and not get it. The last thing you want is to hear that annoying bearing noise after you put everything back together... Just do it. you're in there already for Christ sake...

I couldn't just buy a bearing so I bought a whole new slave cylinder with a bearing in it. Do you know where to just get a bearing? I'm a little confused because when I spoke with the guys at nissan they said I need to just buy the whole slave cylinder as did the mechanic where I took it but online I see there is a throwout bearing bearing and the clutch release bearing which is in the slave.

Ok so I found the bearing for the v6 manual and both the automatics but it doesn't have anything for the 2.5. manual. all the autos have the same pilot convertor so maybe the v6 and 2.5 manual share the same pilot bearing. If anybody has changed their clutch on the 2.5 can you please guide me to the correct pilot bearing. I saw that a few places carry national bearing for the altima 2.5 but I would rather use a nissan part.
