SPEC clutches work on KAE?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Websites I keep seeing say they are for 91-98, but the SPEC website sais application for 89-98. Can anyone tell me for sure? I'm talking about stage 1 only here.

The flywheel and transmissions are the same...

So the same clutch will bolt up and fit.

There may be some difference in the TO bearing, but I'd doubt it.

And why only Stage I...?

Stage II is very streetable and can handle more power, fo future upgrades. I'd go with that...

Actually, I like the ACT...SPEC pedal feel is very light, lighter than stock...but...

Have you thought of calling SPEC??? (Star Performance Engineering Clutches)

star clutches are horribly un reliable when you start makinf power.

what about clutch masters or centerforce? had either one be relied on for power? my future goals with this engine are only a low boost turbo setup, doubtfuly crossing the 260 line, but possibly, so something that holds 300 would be nice, but that's also stage 2 and more money everyplace (budgets are COOL)

centerforce makes several nice variations that will work for you, as does ACT. I don't know much about the clutchmasters...

i've read in several different places that clutchmasters = clutchdisasters.

I am very happy with my spec clutch but then again Im only making 150 w torque.
