before i put my SR back in i was going to replace the clutch, its a stock SR but it WILL be seeing alot of track time, so i want something that can take the abuse but also be streetable, i was thinking about a spec stage 2 or 3, but i cant make up my mind.

what do you guys think? or should i go with a different brand?

I dont know what stage to go with, just make sure it will be able to hold the amount of torque you plan to have in the future. But spec clutches are good. Mine has held up perfectly over the past year or 2. I abused it a lot at first when I was learning how to drive stick. It took me a long time to get the hang of it. My clutch did slip once but thats the only problem i had with it, and it never happened again after that one time.

I used the stage 3 spec clutch and flywheel and I liked it...I only got to put about 500 miles on it b4 my engine went south, but it felt good and was easy to drive on the street. When I seperated my transmission from the engine everything looked good too.

I owned a spec on my sr when i first got the swap done and i personally hated it, its not real hard to push in but it was not smooth at alll, i have a competition 6 puck now which i would recommend if you have the money, its a little rough to push in but its really nice for both street and track

what clutch are speaking of? ive used SPEC clutchs, been through 2 stage 3's. Lasted about 1000miles on my KAT before that blew and currently have about 10k on my coupe and still grabs nice.

Spec clutches are notorious for having shoddy QC.

Since you're using a primarily stock motor, but want something with a little more bite, get an Exedy Stage 1.

i have an exedy in my KA and i love it, but if i went with exedy for my SR i was thinking more about the stage 2, 3 puck with a sprung hub

the motor is stock (for now) but im not gona lie, it will see some track abuse, and if the clutch lasts till spring it will need to suport bolt on mods and a few more lbs of boost, i just figured i would get a little more life out of the puck clutch
