I FINALLY got my car back today (two days after they promised), and I got to drive it. I'm still in the break in period, but from what I see, its a great clutch so far. The engagement is great, and very streetable. The shifting is crisper, and the clutch pedal is harder (but not leg-busting hard, enough to give your leg a good workout).

SPEC Stage 1 - $275 shipped from Enjuku

Tiiiiiite

When my break in period is over, and I start really doing some hard testing, I'll post again to let ya'll know how it goes, and how it holds up. Just 450 more miles. Haha.

Nick.

That's awesome! My break in period was alot of fun for me. The launches were super tight, and it grabbed like a drunk man in a strip bar! After the break in though, you'll have to set it to your own custom liking so that you don't toast it. Mine has been in for a while (maybe 4 months), and there's no loss of quality in it so far. Congrats :)

You did hard launches during the break in period? Are you inSANE? The break in period is where you baby the clutch so it "breaks in".

Well clucthes are adjustable. You can set how far you have to release the pedal for the clutch to grab. After your break in period, your clutch will be a bit lower than usual, so it's a good idea to set it to be a bit higher.

No dude, what I meant was that no matter how low I launched at, it still grabbed super fast. The highest I launched at during break in was at around 2,500rpms, and only a couple times.

I use a star spec clutch and I have a 98, which uses a hydraulic system to adjust my clutch. Should I adjust my petal at the petal?

Yea I have good things to say about the star spec clutch. I blew 5th gear a wile back ago and the transmission was stuck in 5th at idle. for about one minute. I smelled it and killed the motor instantly. after we fixed the transmission I decided to sand off the pucks and stick it back in. works great even after all of that.

How is this pertinent to this post in any way shape or form?
