OK I should have listened and avoided the XTD clutch. They work good on Hondas but then again Hondas don't make torque. The clutch lasted 4 hours before being completly gone. Now I will be pulling the engine after I just got it running. What a piece. So which one of these will give me the most bang for my buck for around $400? I plan on pushing north of 300 hp eventually.

How much torque do you plan on making? That will help you determine which clutch will better fit your application.

I would say that spec, rps, and exedy are all in the same ball park for the price you want to spend.i am personally running a competition clutch stage 4 6 puck which has held awesome for 280whp slip once a little with drag radials at the track (not even remotely warm) but i will be going with an exedy twin plate or competition clutch twin plate when my cars done.

I have a clutchmasters stage 3. It's as soft as stock and engauges smooth and it hasn't slipped on me yet.I was actually hoping for a stiffer pedal, but I can clutch kick the s*** out of this and also drive it normally and you would never know it's an aftermarket clutch. If this clutch lasts me a decent life and holds the beating I wanna put it through I will spend the 400 again and get another, if not I will probably get an exedy

none of the above.....south bend/dxd racing clutches are the best. They use exedy components but their own springs and linings.

That's a personal opinion... Because you think it's the best, doesn't mean it is, which in threads like this people are going to give their opinions about clutches they've had success with or liked. I've never heard of SouthBend before...

I personally have had great luck with SPEC clutches, I generally go a little overkill , say my car plans call for a 300hp car I buy a clutch that is rated to 500

i personally have had good luck with exedy and spec. spec in my sr and exedy in ka. the exedy has slipped a little but that was when it was ice cold. i havent slipped the spec before. the spec has a stiffer pedal and the exedy is soft. just make sure to do as much research as you can. and dont listen to totally biased opinions. gl

Exedy FTW. I run a Exedy Stage II on my 500whp SR and doesnt slip at all. Has over 10k hard miles on it too with Mickey Thompson ET Streets. Ive got a Exedy Hyper Single for my RB25 as well.

Thanks for the input. My friend has a 450 hp evo and he dumps the clutch at 6 grand all day long and it holds up so I think I will go with the Exedy. Exedy Stage II it is.
