hey everyone, i was wondering which do u guys think i would need for this setup

s13 sr20detFULL exhaust from o2 housing back(straight no cat)greddy vspecgreddy airinx intakewalbro pumpz32 fuel fliterhot pipe w/ HKS SSQVstock t25@ 7psi but will go to 14Koyo Radiator(aluminum)

so far this is what i have accumulated i was wodering if u think i should do the spec 2 or a 6 puck spec 3.. i hear people say they have no daily driving problems with the 3. i was also wondering how long the spec 2 would last over the spec 3 w daily driving, some dragging, and a little autox/ attempted drifting( :) )

I have the SPEC 2 and the mods listed in my sig and it has yet to slip. (knock, knock, knock :) ) Either the car bogs or boils the tires when I drag launch. Daily driving is excellent.

I had a six puck in my KA and didn't like the drivability at all. It chattered and made noises all the time. But no, I don't think it's overkill to get one, I just wanted a more streetable disc. I haven't gone to the track yet, and when I do it will be an 1/8 mile, that's all they have here. I can g-tech a 13.6 at 111 all day long with a 5.3 0-60, and I have a best of 13.54 at 112. I guess it depends on how much you believe in the almighty g-tech. :)

My best ever with my KA was a 15.4 at 94

6 puck on a stock pressure plate is a good mix...it wont kill yer driveline and it will take the abuse of clutch kicking (drift) or heavy shifting (drag)..also it one make one leg horrendiously larger than the other from hittin the clutch pedal =)

if u keep yer stock pressure plate it wont be unbearable..the clutch itself will be a little grabby but it wont affect the clutch pedal to drastically

I hate my Spec II! It slips at the track all the time during hard launches (I do 2.0 60ft's with open diff). I can only imagine what it looks like with not even 8k miles on it.

ItzGenX,have you had your car dynoed? Your mods are very similar to mine as well as your track numbers.

Just curious

hey itzgenx so r u saying that u would rather have a spec 3, or no spec at all?

also dj lennon, if i use the heavy duty pressure plate in the kit, the pedal will feel alot heavier?

The pressure plates in the spec 2 and spec 3 kits are the same. The torque holding increase is in the disc. My clutch feel is nearly identical to stock.

IMHO, I wish I would have gotten a stage 3. I wasn't expecting to upgrade as much as I have and will. I'm sure the stage 2 will crap out soon. Hope that helps.

Dyno run on a mustang dyno was 257hp 273ft/lb @ 1bar uncorrected in 50 degree weather. I did the track run at 12.5psi. As for the Spec question, I would rather not go Spec at all because of my bad encounter with the stage II (even if stage III would work better). First impressions are sometimes the only impressions if its a bad one. I was not impressed even before I got to drive on the clutch because even after installation, the pedal feel felt SOFTER then stock. Next on the list to try is a ACT 6 puck.

You running stock cams? My sr with almost exactly the same mods made 244.2, also on a mustang dyno. I also noticed you rebuilt your motor. Are you running stock compression?

I run a spec3 as a daily driver and it's fine. It feels nice and responsive, not harsh.

My next clutch will be a full-face disc though cause I'm worried that my 6-puck will go out on me anyday. When they go, they just go. There is no slipping.

spec clutches suck. get an ACT if you want something that will actually hold and still be drivable every day
