Hello everyone! I have question that is straight to the point. How much WHP do you think i will be able to make with the following MODS:

CAR: 300ZX TT 1994
MILEAGE: Approx. 84,000 Miles

TURBO: Z1 GT525
DOWNPIPE: Specialty Z 3" Downpipe
SPARK PLUGS: NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs VG30DETT (HEAT RANGE 7)
INTERCOOLER: CXRACING FMIC
ECU: NISTUNE
METHANOL INJECTION SYSTEM: AEM WATER/METHANOL INJECTION
BOOST CONTROLLER: GFB Geforce II
EXHAUST: TESTPIPE ALL THE WAY
AIR INTAKE: DUAL POP FOAM INTAKE

Im just kind of anxious to see what kind of power the car will be making. I'm getting all mods installed this week and tune done....would love to hear your opinions and estimate of what kind of power to the wheels im looking at. Thank you!

This is like counting the number of jelly beans in a jar. The number could easily be give or take 50 for a swing of 100 in error. So the only point of this would be to get as close as you can to the real number with your guessed number. Usually the prize is the jar of the jelly beans. Without a prize for getting as close as I can, why guess? Where's my motivation? :gotme

You made a plan, saved up, coordinated the parts and labor. You waited this long and it sounds like you just have a week more to go. Why not wait for real numbers? :ohno:

PS - I am excited for you. :bigthumb: Is your car there being worked on now? Will it be done by the weekend? Will you be driving it hard right away or will it need a break in period for a few miles first?

Thank you for the well wishes...im really excited but mostly anxious and inpatient lol.

I have a similar setup, only I have 2.5 full exhaust, 740 injectors, single intake, and bigger turbos than yours, and I'm in the low 400s at around 17lbs of boost.
I also have a built autobox. You gotta get it built as soon as you can, or swap to a 5spd. You'll lose your 4th, then 3rd pretty quick if you do hard hwy pulls. Not to worry you, just a forewarning.

So what exactly did you get done for the gear box? Can you send me links to the parts? Thx.

zxFarside, What turbos are you running? low 400s seems kind of low to me on discos (i'm assuming you are running discos or some variation thereof). Does the slushbox rob that much?

I don't really have a parts list. I had a local trans guy that built it for me. Its got upgraded clutch packs, stronger bands, shift kit, and a fresh valve body. I also had the planetary bearing caps welded to prevent the big kaboom. All the cooler lines were redone as well, and bumped in diameter, with a 25k btu cooler. Higher stall converter, you can get those here: http://converter.com/dragon.htm
I know Z1 and Specialty Z both sell a upgraded trany. That my be easier and more direct than my route.

Yeah its a couple potatos.
Autos do eat up a lot of power. I also have a single intake, and a pretty rich tune. Thinking back, it may also have been only 15lbs, I'm not sure though. I just had it thrown on the dyno at work on a slow day, to see what it was making, and that was before I build the trans. I'll have to get in on there again to get some actual data haha.
