I didn't really think this was an anti rice thread, I just thought it was people sharing stories of strange cars they have seen with GTR badges. Then the topic kind of shifted to people who talk big about their cars but really know nothing about it...

I may be 17, but I have been around cars my whole life. Family owned a garage, dad is a gearhead, I took a two year Auto Service class at the tech center, and I have done everything on my car from the auto-manual swap to changing the headgasket to replacing blown light bulbs. I really don't think you can judge how much someone knows by their age - it's all about how much research they have put into it.

NOw that just takes the cake i see it on 240sx's all the time some have a RB20 motors I still think that they should not even have such a emblem

Regardless what engine you have in your car, I still don't think you should put different badges on it. Even though you have a RB, that doesn't make it a GTR. Even though you have a SR20, that doesn't make it a Silvia. Thats pretty much like me sticking Altima badges on my S13 because we both have KA's.

yeah i even get a lil annoyed when I see 350GT and Skyline on G35's, it's a G35 and it's an Infiniti.

People all the time go oOo I saw a Skyline today and it looked like yours or I saw a spy shot of the new Skyline GTR....Im like grrrrrr its just a G35 rebadged into a Nissan. Then they go huh and I have to go into this whole explanation on why people want to be JDM blah blah

Nooooo... it's a Nissan, rebadged as an Infiniti! Think of it as restoring the badges to their original state ahhahaha

Are there even any REAL difference besides RHD/LHD and whatever DOT/EPA garbage modifications done to the G35 that separate it from the 350GT?
