I know it's the CA boards and all, but i like this group.

Anyone ever seen or maybe knows where i could get my hands on a 12A turbo rotary motor? They are really, REALLY hard to find!

Since a few of u guys deal with importers directly... just thought you could ask if you have time or feel like being super awesome??

thats a very rare piece there. I believe they would most likely be plentiful in japan, since thats the only place they were released....

The 12A had a bad oil and coolant seat design. The added heat and pressure from a turbo will only add to the issue. Why not an '89 13BT? Its in the 80s

There used to be plenty of them in Australia...Not sure about these days though.

We got them in the later RX2, RX3, RX4, RX5, RX7. Obviously not the R100.

Mazda history lesson there. :-)

Yes Rotorific is right. Why not the 13BT? What about the 3-rotor version or is that in the 90s?

3 rotor is 90's. came in the JDM eunos cosmos...

12a can be a sick motor, but naturally you have to build it right and take car of the problems that it is known for, there are many solutions on the market for that. I used to work at rx7 specialties in calgary, that guy can sure build a motor.

Eh, the 13b is the sr20 or the mazda world. the 12A, now thats worthy of a CA-like underdog with power title!

Also, cause the car is a first gen rx7 12a. why stray from a good idea?2200lbs(or less) and 150-160hp isnt a bad combo at all.
