Here are some pics of the new whip. Also some pics of the JDM SOKO motor I picked up last night:

OLD SLUDGED UP MOTOR W/HORRIFIC ROD KNOCK

Header is on it's way. Will pick up the other odds and ends things this week and do the swap next Sunday.

What are the plans exactly for this one?

That old motor had some major sludge. Irregular oil changes?

Interior looks pretty good though... can't wait to see the end result!

JDM swap, header, intake and exhaust. Nothing major, but should be fun to drive. I would say improper maintenance destroyed the motor, especially after it took me 4hrs to clean out the interior. Nastiest sh*t I've seen. So if someone can't take care of the inside of the car, they sure as hell are not going to give a hoot about the motor. Oh well their loss, my gain.

Only cause you wussed out on the VE(-T). Just messin with ya Mike, I'm sure it'll be top notch when you're done with it.

Rev-happy all-motor SRs sound like fun, especially if you already have a turbo one. Keep us updated.

Well the swap is done and she started right up on the first crank. Car pulls very strong, genetic freak or something. I was truely impressed, even with 3 200lb occupants.

She still needs some brakes, struts and few other minor fixes. Approximately 9hrs from start to finish and we were going for a test drive. Its seems everything on the car was OEM/factory nissan parts, to include the clutch, the belts, the cv shafts, from the looks of it the oil was factory too.

Wow that engine looked like crap.

I've been thinking of putting an SSAuto header and a 3" exhaust on my NX lately.

Looks great! I've always wanted one for a daily. That or a G20 with an SR20VE. I just can't leave crap alone...
