I'm getting a new head unit today. i think i'm getting the pioneer deh-6400 bt
now i'm thinking about getting a set of speakers at least a pair for the front but i have no idea how they work because i know that in the pathfinder the tweeter is in the A pillar and i have no idea what size speaker i need to get or anything. does it have to be separate tweeter and speaker setup or can it all be one or whats going on? and do i need new speaker wire or something? and i know the r50 has bose amps or something with the actual speaker in the door? do i need new amps for them or what am i doing?

The door speakers are all 6.5" all around. Your new head unit will likely have four outputs, so the tweeters will be left unconnected. As long as you get some good 3-way speakers that have tweeters, you won't miss them.

It's best to ignore all the Bose wiring as it's a PITA to bypass. Ideally, you would run your own speaker wire to each door.
