ok i need to know what size speakers i can put in my 93 hatch the holes are empty just bare metal 6x9 is to big so what can go in?

Are you talking about the front or the rear? If you're talking about the front, they're easy as cake. Here's a template you can make to make 6.5" circular speakers fit.

As for the rear, oem size was 4x6. Kind of an odd size nowadays. If you wanted to put that size back in, you'd have to find a parts car with those plastic speaker holders.

What I have done in both of my hatches was just extend the speaker wires and put two 6x9 in those separate boxes you can get from BestBuy, Walmart, etc....

Here's a picture of my old hatch. Kind of hurts your trunk space, but cheap 6x9s can sound just as nice as some decent 4x6s.

In the doors you can buy an adapter like I did from ebay for like $15 for 6.5" speakers.



For the rears I just put some 5.25" speakers I had that were better than stock laying around that fit, no so great but function great.


I have new speakers in here now but you get the point.

well i had the car two weeks and there cracked from not being in the right way or just just shut on

They won't. The way the dude ^ made those 5.25" ones fit is by just screwing through the metal with some self-tapping screws. Except it doesn't look like he used self tapping screws, haha. Ghetto stereo ftw.

You're going to need the oem adapter piece.

About the speakers, don't get those, they are garbage. If you want to get some speakers on the cheap, get some Sony Xplods from WalMart. They sound OKAY. I'm pretty sure they have the Boss brand there too if you want to be even cheaper. In the picture I posted, I was running some Xplod 6.5" up front and 6x9 in the back, off an Alpine deck, no amp. Sounded decent for the $60 or so I paid for all four. Didn't really distort until you got them up really loud.

I just got a bose system out of an inifinti I30 and made them fit. All 4 speakers and the clarion tweeters too. Sounds amazing all for 40 bucks out of a junk yard, Perfect condition!
